When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email.
A deposit of 20% of the letting fee (minimum £100) per property is payable on booking. If you plan to take your holiday within eight weeks of your booking date, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.
The balance of letting is due eight weeks prior to arrival.
We accept credit and debit cards, bank transfer and cheques.
We ask our guests for a security deposit, pre-authorised against a credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage.
We strongly recommend that you have suitable travel insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation.
If you are forced to cancel after booking the following conditions apply:
If you have booked and paid a deposit, we will attempt to re-let the property. If we successfully re-let the property, we will refund 50% of the deposit paid (subject to a minimum charge of £100). If we do not re-let the property, the full amount of the deposit paid is forfeited.
If you have booked and paid in full, we will attempt to re-let the property. If we successfully re-let the property, we will refund 50% of the amount paid by the new customer (the amount paid may have been discounted). If we do not re-let the property, the full amount paid is forfeited.
The decision of Loch Monzievaird on all claims will be final.
It is natural for you to want people you know who live locally to visit you while you are here. Please inform us if you are planning to have any gathering here during your stay. Our insurance does not cover for events in excess of the number of people on your booking form. Large gatherings whether during the day or the evening are not always suitable and not always permitted.
The properties are equipped as described in our website. Arrival time is from 4.00 pm (unless subject to an unavoidable delay). Departure time is by 10.00 am (except on Sundays in the winter season when it can be extended to 2.00 pm). All linen and towels are provided with beds ready made. On departure, we ask all guests to strip the beds, pack linen and towels into the supplied laundry bag, vacuum throughout, leave the bathroom, kitchen, and appliances clean, and empty all internal bins. Guests will be liable for any cleaning charges incurred in the event that any property is left in a dirty condition, or if occupants have been smoking inside the building.
If you have someone less able in your party, please contact us to discuss your requirements before you book.
We do accept group bookings, but not for stag or hen parties, or large single sex groups or groups of under 25s.
Additional charges apply for the following: pets, Z-beds, cots and high chairs.
We welcome dogs at Loch Monzievaird for a small extra charge. The local area offers a wide variety of walks that we are sure you and your dog will enjoy. For advice on local walks please ask at Reception. We want to ensure that both you and your dog enjoy your stay with us and hope that the following information and guidelines will prove helpful. The walk around the loch is about a mile and a half. There is a track opposite our drive entrance which links into the Crieff path network and miles of lovely walks.
If your dog does not walk to heel or is likely to run off, it should be on a lead in the immediate grounds (35 acres). Some people are not as used to dogs as others, young children in particular can be very frightened by dogs running up to them however harmless the intention. Please be aware that there are farm animals in the surrounding fields. Please do not allow your dog to foul the areas in the immediate vicinity of your accommodation. Dog waste must be collected. Registered assistance dogs are welcome free of charge.
Dogs must never be left unattended in your accommodation unless caged. Dogs must never be allowed into bedrooms or on to any furniture. Please bring your own dog towels and bedding. On departure we ask all clients to make an extra effort to air the property and to vacuum dog hairs.
We reserve the right to request that owners remove any dog from the premises at any time during their stay, in particular if a dog has deemed to be a nuisance to other guests or staff or has caused any damage to property. We further reserve the right to make an additional charge to dog owners for any cleaning or repair that is deemed beyond normal wear and tear.
Whilst we have attempted to make Loch Monzievaird as safe as possible, there are natural hazards associated with a rugged Highland location such as this. Responsibility for your well being (and that of any of your children or pets) lies with you.
At times of adverse weather, notably snow, the main A85 is well maintained. We aim to keep our entrance road and the main access tracks clear, but at rare times of heavy snow, direct to-the-door access to all of our accommodation may not be possible. Where there are travel disruptions as a result of bad weather or fuel shortages, Loch Monzievaird cannot be held responsible for non-arrival.

The hirer agrees to pay for any damage or loss, excluding reasonable wear and tear, incurred during their occupation. We reserve the right to make charges against deposits or payment cards or to invoice for over occupancy, additional cleaning or damages.
