Booking Information

Please find a summary of our booking information. Please contact us if you have a question or wish to make a booking. - A Booking / Good Housekeeping Deposit of £100 per property is required at the time of booking (groups - £200 per property).
- Payments: Full payment is due eight weeks prior to arrival. If you plan to take your holiday within eight weeks of your booking date, payment including Good Housekeeping Deposit must be made in full at the time of booking. We strongly recommend that you have suitable travel insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation. We accept cheques, debit cards and credit cards. (payment by credit card is charged a 2% handling fee)
- Additional charges apply for the following: Electricity for weekly lets in winter (November - March); pets £20 per week/ £5 per night, cots £8 per week/ £2 per night (cot duvet and linen are not supplied); and high chairs £6 per week/ £2 per night. The cost for electricity is normally between £30 and £45 per week depending on Lodge type / usage / ambient temperature.
- For insurance reasons, only those guests listed on your booking form may stay in the accommodation.
- In high season (April - October), our weekly bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. In low season (November - March) we run mainly Friday to Friday bookings. Christmas & New Year start days change by year. Arrival is from 4.00 pm and departure no later than 10.00 am.
- Short breaks are available from November to March, excluding Christmas and New Year. They may also be offered in high season on a last minute basis. In High season these are either three night weekend breaks from Friday to Monday or four night midweek breaks from Monday to Friday. In winter season they are either two night weekend breaks from Friday to Sunday or three night midweek breaks between Monday and Friday.
- All prices are in Pounds GB and with the exception of low season weekly bookings are fully inclusive of electricity charges for heating and hot water. All beds are ready made. We provide one bath towel and one hand towel per person.
- Payments can be made by cheque or credit / debit card. Cheques should be made payable to SJS & DS Brown. (Payment by credit card is charged a 2% handling fee)
- The full balance will be payable in the event of a cancellation unless we are able to re-let the property. Cancellations may be made by telephone, but must be confirmed in writing. We recommend that you obtain adequate cancellation insurance.
- If you have someone less able in your party, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
- For the comfort of all of our guests, all our accommodation is strictly non smoking.
- Registered assistance dogs are welcome free of charge. All other pets (maximum of two) are charged either by the week for weekly bookings or by night for short breaks.
- It is the guests' responsibility to take good care of the property and to leave it in the same clean and tidy condition as they found it.
- If a property is left in an unsuitable condition we reserve the right to charge for extra cleaning . We will debit your card to cover any costs incurred.
- Groups. We do accept group bookings but not for Stag or Hen parties, or large single sex groups or groups of under 25's. Group bookings require a £200 Booking/Good Housekeeping Deposit per unit (non refundable in the event of cancellation) to be paid by cheque or debit card from one source (Payment by credit card is charged a 2% handling fee). Final payment for groups: 12 weeks prior.
